ROMANTIC BREAKFAST IN BED

I was inspired to create a cute romantic breakfast so my dolls could share a special moment. Everything you see on the tray, including the tray, was made by me using a variety of different methods. From sculpting clay, curing resin and polishing wood. It sometimes took me several tries to get the right look or texture I wanted for each piece but I’m happy with how it turned out in the end. All this effort to make an adorable moment come true. So worth it. All photographs are taken by me. The dolls are not fabricated by me.

TOAST WITH HEART-SHAPED JAM

The textures of the baby toast were created using a toothbrush and an X-Acto knife. The jam is made combing liquid sculpey, red clay, and red chalk pastels. It is painted using acrylic paints.

RED ROSE

This romantic red rose is made entirely out of clay. Each petal was once a tiny ball of clay that was thinned out then glued in layers around each other. The rose is then painted to add more vibrance using acrylic paints and the stem and leaves are added using green clay, chalk pastels and paint.

LETTER WITH A HEART WAX STAMP

The paper letter was made by doing origami. To make the stamp, I first sculpted a little heart out of clay then used silicone mold putty to create a mold that I could use to imprint the wax. Then I burned the wax and put the mold on top of it to imprint a heart shaped stamp.

HOW IT'S MADE

RASBERRIES, BLUEBERRIES, AND BLACKBERRIES

The raspberries and blackberries were made using the same method. I rolled out tiny bits of clay and glued them together using liquid sculpey and the tip of silicone putty. The blueberries were made by rolling out tiny balls of blue clay and coloring those balls with chalk pastels and acrylic paint.

CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES WITH CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE AND SHAVED COCONUT

These chocolate truffles are made but shaping two balls of brown clay and delicately placing thin strips of brown and white clay on top.

HOT COCOA

The mug was created out of clay then painted with pink paint and sparkles. The cocoa is made by coloring UV resin with brown chalk pastels. The marshmallows, whipped cream and chocolate shavings on the top are made by shaping and sculpting the clay.
